Last tour with Tracy: 1st Ave

My English teacher Tracy transfers to Washington D.C. during summer. On our last lesson we made a tour to the 1st Avenue.

My bus (#22) brought me all the way from the West Seattle Bridge to Downtown on this Avenue (South part). On the first part it's very industrial with a lot of stores for home improvement like tiles, carpets, stones, furnitures, pipes and big warehouses. On the second part there are more parking lots for the Qwest and Safeco fields, the fields of course and after them more pubs and sports bars. On the last part to Downtown are a lot restaurants - the 1st is very close to the International district with Chinatown and Little Shanghai - art galleries, coffee shops, book stores and office buildings. The 1st passes Pioneers Square and Pike Place, two of the most famous sightseeing spots in Seattle.

After I met Tracy we had a short stop in a museum in First Hill. Then we drove to the Northern part of the 1st to see the difference in this colorful street. We found a step in Queen Ann - and a break in the run of the street. We shot a picture there for the homies.

and went down passing hair studios, art galleries and other funny stores - all seemed a little sad and abandoned. For business owners this isn't the best spot for a store, I guess. We looked into a small chapel with stained glass in catholic church. And throw a coin in the fountain in front.

Then we visited a very large pottery studio with a lot of funny discoveries.

On the end we went back to the Centre, where we met first - on the corner of Madison & 1st - right in front of a Starbucks - and the end of our 1st Avenue tour and the #22 brought me back home down the 1st Ave - maybe the street with the most stuctural differences in Seattle.
